MISSION STATEMENT
5.11 Tactical was created in May 2009 to bring together PC gamers from around the globe and to provide them a Head Quarters (web site) where they can share their backgrounds, experience, and interests in teamwork and tactics, as well as providing them with an environment that allows a "friends-first" experience in the online community.

NO CHEATING
Definition of a Cheat: any modifications to the PC or official games and associated files or any utilization of a program that alters gameplay. Any alteration of files or use of programs that alter original gameplay on any multiplayer game is never allowed and any player who has ever done so cannot be a part of 5.11 Tactical.

Examples: wall hacks & speed cheats. Also glitches in the game
Definition of a Glitch: use of any behavior of the game that is either undocumented or unintended by
the manufacturer.

Examples: Being able hide in a rock or shoot through a wall that you normally can not.

No 5.11 Tactical Member will cheat or glitch under any circumstances.

No 5.11 member is allowed to evaluate cheats in order to detect their use without express consent from one of the Generals.

No 5.11 member will associate with a known cheat or cheat maker under any circumstances. Where possible all 5.11 members will avoid known glitches. Should credible accusations of cheating or glitching occur, the member will be subject to an investigation by the Chain of Command (HQ Staff). If found guilty, the member will be instantly discharged.

We have no restrictions regarding alterations of single-player games or legitimate and approved mod usage in multiplayer games.

CHAIN OF COMMAND
5.11 uses a Chain of Command based on the military and as such members are expected to abide by the structure without exception. Any issues have to be processed by the Division CO if not a HQ Staff member . No member will jump over their superior with its requests unless ordered to do so. All orders have to be followed, whether in game, training or in daily duties and are not subject to a discussion. Questions or issues are to be handled via the Division CO if not a HQ Staff member. High Priority issues, especially those that affect all, go 5.11 must be handled by 5.11's leader.

PARTICIPATION
All members are in constant mode of training and as such we have practices. Their purpose is to improve our teamwork and tactics. Members are expected to be active four days of the week and on the website weekly. Officers are expected to remain active enough to fulfill their duties; this often means officers must be on the website daily.

FRIENDSHIP AND REAL LIFE
We are primarily are a group of friends and as such have a “Friends first” motto.
However, heated issues can occur. If an issue can not
resolved on a reasonable and friendly basis, the CoC will step in and
their decision is final. We accept all real life needs and commitments
and will not put any member into a decision between real life success
and 5.11 and where possible, we will attempt to help in any way we can.
If a member leaves 5.11 on good terms, the decision will be respected
and not questioned. He will be granted a honorable discharge and will
be welcomed back if he chooses to return at a later date.

RANKS, AWARDS AND POSITIONS
Ranks and awards (medals & badges) will be handed out based on the following sorted principles:

• Conduct
• Teamwork
• Performance

• Leadership abilities
• Teamwork

CONDUCT
Members **WILL** respect each other regardless of their origin,
nationality, age, gender, race, religious beliefs or creed. The same
level of respect will be given to non-members. Members will show
dignity, honor, and integrity both in and outside of 5.11. Any insults
or lack of respect towards 5.11 and it's members by non-members are to
be ignored and left uncommented on. We do not need to defend ourselves.
Cursing and all language of an offensive nature will not be tolerated,
whether on forums or any type of voice or text communications. No
member will issue religious or political matters or respond on one of
them. No member will broadcast issues involving nudity, sexual content
or any other adult content whether be by images, text or voice
communications. No member will question policies and regulations in
public. They are to use the CoC to issue their thoughts. Sportsmanship
behavior is mandatory. Always remember that to the public, you are not
perceived as an individual but as a representative of 5.11.

ALLEGIANCE
5.11 demands the same level of commitment and loyalty from all its
members; as such we do not allow 5.11 members to participate in any
other group that supports any game franchise on a platform that we
support. Failure to abide by this will result in immediate discharge.

COMMUNICATIONS
The official language of 5.11 is English however we are a multi-national
group and will assist members with only basic English skills as much as
possible.



What happens if I break a rule?
The staff has the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread or post,
or suspend or ban any member for any breach of the rules or for any
other reason with or without warning or notice.

What if I see a message posted that breaks a rule?
Please report these posts or threads to the staff of the forum by submitting a
PM (Personal Message), and the post or thread will be reviewed and
action taken as soon as possible.

What is my responsibility as a member?
Please keep the above rules in mind when you post. Also please see the important threads in the "Read these first!" forum. The staff has the right to
change these rules at any time without notice. It is the responsibility
of every member to remain updated with the current rules.

Why have rules in the first place?
The rules are there for the protection of the community as a whole and to
prevent abuse, conflict and disharmony within the forums.
